As such, we are looking for a very special person to join our team as a SEO/SEM Specialist.

As our SEO/SEM Specialist, you’ll be responsible for delivering cutting-edge SEO strategies and SEM solutions that exceed client expectations. You’ll stay ahead of the curve on trends in digital advertising, championing the importance of SEO both internally and externally.
Ideally coming from a fast paced Agency background, you’ll have a great work ethic with very much a ‘can do – wanna do’ attitude, with the ability to roll your sleeves up and get things done, to a high standard. Whilst we strongly support a work life balance, we also want people who are willing to go above and beyond when required.
You are able to think on your feet and find creative solutions. You’ll be accurate and driven but at the same time flexible and nimble. You show genuine care for the welfare of others, especially our clients and their customers.
We’re looking for that special someone with a passion for SEO/SEM; someone who has a willingness to delight our customers with their expertise, creativity and communication skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
- Conduct detailed SEO audits and develop effective strategies.
- Stay ahead of search engine requirements to ensure our clients are leaders in SERPs.
- Use SEO tools to create and refine keyword strategies.
- Collaborate with Somar’s design team & developers, and guide clients during agile sprints to optimise website builds for best practice SEO.
- Set up and manage website analytics, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Provide regular internal and external SEO performance reports.
Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
- Manage PPC campaigns, ensuring best practices, maximising ROI, and maintaining clear communication with clients to align strategies with their objectives.
- Plan, direct, and execute campaigns, optimising content, keywords, landing pages, and ads while proactively managing client expectations and delivering regular updates.
- Monitor website traffic and user behaviour, interpreting insights from Google Analytics and other tools, and presenting actionable recommendations to clients.
- Develop and assess campaign goals, adjusting strategies to meet targets and ensuring clients are informed and engaged throughout the process.
- Stay on top of trends and insights in digital marketing to ensure our clients’ campaigns remain innovative, effective, and competitive.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Proven experience in SEO and SEM, ideally in a fast-paced agency environment.
- A track record of running successful digital marketing campaigns.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication, trust, and alignment with their goals and expectations.
- Expertise in tools like Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs (or equivalent).
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
